SOLOgarde
is the dedicated stand alone door controller from access
control specialist TDSi. Providing a high quality, cost
effective access control solution for a wide range of applications,
SOLOgarde is fast and easy to install and to program.
-
Capable of supporting up to 1,000 users, SOLOgarde utilises
the highly secure MIFARE® smartcard technology,
enabling users to carry and use just a single card for
multiple applications.
-
The
SOLOgarde controller provides a great deal of flexibility.
For example, the 'toggle mode' feature allows the system
to be used to set or unset an intruder alarm for specific
users. The same functionality may be used to allow specified
card holders to unlock and then lock specific rooms
for a period of time, simply by presenting their card
to the reader at the start and end of the period.
-
The
unit has been developed with the needs of disabled users
in mind; a DDA user group automatically applies an extended
lock time for card holders assigned to that preset group.
|
-
SOLOgarde features an innovative hand-held programmer.
Easy to use, the programmer completely eliminates
the need to manage and control shadow cards, allowing
not only the easy and clear management of all user
cards, but also enabling more advanced functionality
– including controller settings and diagnostic
features....

International
consultants and installers ICTS
UK are securing the most famous cricket venue in the
world, Lord’s in St John’s Wood, London.
Lord’s,
which is owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), stages
two Test matches annually and this summer capacity crowds
saw the England captain Andrew Strauss lead from the front
as his side defeated Australia by 115 runs.
ICTS
has installed networkable entry controllers from Dublin-based
Access Control Technology (ACT) Ltd. These units are in
place at 24 doors across the site using ACTpro 3000 controllers
in conjunction with Mifare 1040 readers. The controllers
are linked to the venue’s LAN so as to provide a site-wide
solution, while the Mifare readers have allowed programming
of cards for members of the MCC staff on to the system using
ACTWin pro software.
Prior
to the upgrade, the venue was using various access control
systems which necessitated the issue of multiple cards to
employees who had to remember which fob worked with which
system. The complexity of the solutions meant that it was
difficult to conduct effective audit trails.... |
